1.Resin’s softening point is lower.
Reason: At present, thermoplastic road marking paint factories pursue better fluidity. This will force resin factory to put more modifier to improve resin’s fluidity. In order to have good fluidity, resin factory have put modifier to the maximum, but in this premise, thermoplastic road marking material factories excessively reduce the ratio of C5 resin and increase PE wax and white oil to improve the fluidity of thermoplastic road marking paint, therefore, finally the quality of thermoplastic road marking paint is worse and worse.
Notes: Putting more flowing agent in resin or thermoplastic road marking paint will reduce resin or thermoplastic road marking paint’s softening point, and then reduce its compressive strength, abrasion resistance and hardness, finally it will make thermoplastic road marking paint performance greatly reduced. Here we suggest that resin factory should improve C5 resin’s 2.PE wax
PE wax, as flowing agent and dispersant, plays an important role in disperse pigment. Putting more lower softening point PE wax will make thermoplastic road marking paint’s drying time longer, bad pollution resistance and cracking. Here we recommend thermoplastic road marking material producer use high purity PE wax without paraffin wax and its softening point should above 100°C
3.White oil
White oil’s application is for reducing cost of thermoplastic road marking paint. Bcz white oil’s lower molecular, it is easy to volatilize in high temperature, so no matter how much you put white oil, the effect is slight. Furthermore, putting white oil can greatly reduce softening point of thermoplastic road marking paint, and then make thermoplastic road marking paint become soft, bad pollution resistance and other problems.
4.DOP
DOP is general plasticizer, but most of DOP in market is mixed with 20%min poor quality white oil. Although you are using DOP, it may be not pure. Here we suggest you buy DOP from regular factory.
